I'm Naked - So What?

I'm Naked - So What? brings together two painters, Krassimir Kolev and Monika Toplev, in a joint exhibition centered on the nude as statement.

 

Kolev's figures emerge from dense, gestural fields of grey, built up in his signature technique that hovers between figuration and abstraction; bodies caught mid-thought, exposed and unresolved.

Toplev's nudes, by contrast, carry her familiar poetic lightness with luminous color, natural motifs, and a tenderness that softens confrontation into invitation.

 

Together, the two bodies of work pose the same quiet challenge from different directions: what does it mean to be seen without armor, and why should that unsettle us at all?

 

The exhibition also includes the works of Andrea Schwanda-Mathews and her fellow artists from "Die Ausstellung".
