Kurse

Course No.: 1 | August 31st | from 10 am to 4pm

A respite for your eyes and your soul.

This course is intended for absolute beginners but also for those more advanced who would like to learn how to let go of all constraints when it comes to painting. There´s nothing at stake. All materials, tools and canvases or paper are provided by me. Ofcourse you may take your finsihed piece with you as well as also having the option of leaving it with me as to avoid being judged at home, if you have difficulty dealing with this, which is completely normal. At the end of the day what counts is not what can be seen on the painting but rather that we enjoyed a good day. I believe each one of you will like their picture, but I am making a point to avoid any judgment.

In my opinion, the secret behind creating a good painting is that it arises from a free spirit. Of course, painting techniques and skills trhat have been acquired over time play a certain role. Since this cannot be these in one afternoon, the first course for me is primarily about discovering the joy of the paints and the playful use of them.

Every child enjoys painting and drawing. Due to the judgments of their parents, teachers and people around them over time, many people lose their initial joy in it. Even the most talented artists will constantly put themselves under pressure because they have been evaluated since childhood and thus have learned to also evaluate themselves. I have realized that I have to constantly cultivate work within myself that is free and frearless. That's why it's so important to me to pay particular attention to this focus in this course.

“Mindfulness and self-reflection are not concepts that deliver quick successes, but can provide valuable impulses over the years. Taken as a whole, these can then lead to more serenity and clarity. If we approach this topic with high expectations, frustration can quickly set in. On the other hand, if we allow ourselves to understand positive change as a process, tips and techniques can work when their time comes.” (from “a good plan”)

In this course I would also like to tell you how I got into painting and share my experiences in the process of becoming a good painter. A process that is never finished.

That's why I would like to invite you to begin your journey as a painter, which is completely individual. Every creative person has their own special way of expressing themselves artistically and only a few artists manage to find their individual language.

If you have self-doubts about whether you are talented or are able to create anything decent, I highly encourage you to just give it a try! No one in the entire world, has the same view of the world and way of expressing yourself artistically,as you!

This day should be a day just for you and help you get good impulses for your everyday life in terms of mindfulness, self-confidence and creativity.

It should be a day of respite for your eyes and your soul.

Course No.: 2 | October 12thth | from 10 am to 4pm

Flowers

Everything that was important in the first course also applies here. It would be good if you took part in the first course because that way we can build on that foundation.
Beginners are still welcome though I will support everyone individually. This course is also primarily about the joy of the painting process and the joy for colors.

As the course title says, we are letting ourself be inspired by flowers and plants.

I will provide flowers and plants to use as subjects or inspiaration. But you are also welcome to bring flowers or pictures on your cellphone, tablet or printed out that inspire you.

Regardless of whether you want to make your work more figurative or completely abstract, you will be accompanied and supported by me.

Course No.: 3 | November 23rd | from 10 am to 4pm

Mountains

Again, regardless of whether you have already taken part in the other courses or are starting out, you are welcome, and I will help you find your expression.

The philosophy behind it is again that we try to be in the moment and not put any pressure on ourselves about the outcome.

This time I would like to focus on landscape and mountain images. You can take your own photos that inspire you with you on your cell phone, tablet or printed out.

Maybe at the beginning we will take a short walk up the Mönchsberg to the Richterhöhe, from where a wonderful panorama can be viewed. In my opinion, painting is best done with great enthusiasm in your heart. Again you decide wether you want to take a more figurative or a more abstract aproach, the pictures and impressions are only used for inspiration.

Whats most important is that you have fun painting and discovering your artistic voice.
